Athletics
AISA offers a full range of activities, primarily after school. We strive to provide something for every student, whether in sports, drama, music, arts, crafts, Model United Nations, or service activities.
Athletics
Participation in sports builds confidence and nurtures responsibility in our students. AISA is proud to be a member of the Junior EAC and NESAC Activities Conferences.
We Are Proud, We Are Strong, We Are Lions
The AISA Lions Athletic Program has represented the school for over 29 years. We offer team-based athletic competitions starting in Elementary, as well as for Under 14, Junior Varsity (Under 16), and Varsity teams.
AISA competes in various sports, including:
- Soccer
- Tennis
- Golf
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Track & Field
- Cross Country
- Badminton
- Swimming
AISA is a member of three organized leagues:
-
Junior Emirates Athletic Conference (JEAC) – Six American schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, providing activities for Grade 4 to 6 students. AISA refers to these teams as "Cubs Sports."
-
Emirates Athletic Conference (EAC) – Six American schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, offering competition for U14, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams. AISA refers to these teams as the Blue Lions (EAC) and Yellow Lions (DEAC).
-
Near East School Athletics Activities Conference (NESAC) – An international league featuring schools from across the MENA region, including Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
Our student-athletes embody the AISA mission with respect, honesty, and responsibility. We continue to build on this tradition, with students growing and achieving year after year. Our coaches and athletes come from diverse backgrounds, and this international approach enriches our programs.
