Elementary Student Council
The Elementary Student Council is comprised of 3rd to 5th grade students who have a strong desire to plan, coordinate, and carry out events that enhance school spirit. At the head of the council are 6 elected officers from 5th grade – The President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chief of Communications, and Historian. These six individuals are committed leaders who are dedicated to the social and organizational activities of the student body. As such, they attend weekly meetings and work closely with the Student Council Advisor to bring to fruition ideas that will enliven and bring the Elementary community together. The rest of the council is made up of a representative and alternate from each of the 15 classes in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. These members attend meetings when necessary and assist the officers during Student Council events. School-wide elections are held in September for the officer positions, and representatives and alternates are chosen during classroom elections at the beginning of the school year. Ultimately, being a member of the Elementary student government allows students an opportunity to develop and strengthen their natural leadership skills.
Secondary
Secondary Student Council
AISA's Secondary Student Council officially represents all Middle and High School students within the school and aims to improve the school's atmosphere. Through various planned activities, the student councils provide students with opportunities to lead and develop a sense of responsibility, identity, and citizenship. The Student Council is the voice for all our children!
The Senior Committee, a branch of the Student Council, comprising of 4 seniors elected by the graduating class, aims to plan and implement all senior events and activities throughout the year.
Both the Secondary Student Councils and the Senior Committee's goals are to create and foster a sense of AISA pride and spirit!
